Intro

As I started to go about losing weight for the umpteenth time (this time after having the most adorable baby boy), I started reading yet another weight loss book and I thought, "None of these books ever apply to me."  They all preach sugar-flour-proceeded anything-abhorrence, and flaxseed-wheatgrass-kale diet as the only healthy way.  For the majority of us, this isn't realistic.  Maybe these things truly are the best way, but they are not always the easiest, most accessible, or even the most desirable way.  There are other ways that fit into a "real world" scenario much better and still can be healthier than a Snickers-and-Chex Mix diet.  (Mmmmm...now I'm hungry.)

I don't profess to have all the answers.  I'm just going to sound off on my thoughts and personal epiphanies and maybe they'll resonate with someone else.  Maybe they'll resonate with you.  I don't know, but I don't think I can be the only one out there with these thoughts, trying to lose weight and get healthy without trying to be someone I'm not.

So, what you should know: I'm eight-months postpartum (first kid!), about four pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight but about fifteen pounds away from my ideal weight, and doing Weight Watchers Online, which is the only program I've had consistent success with.  This blog isn't to endorse WW, but I'll talk about it here and there.  I'm 29 years old, married to a rail-thin guy who, of course, does nothing to actually be rail-thin (unless you count eating gummy bears non-stop...which I don't), and have an adorable basset mix that I love to pieces.  I'm a stay-at-home mom who also coaches high school cheerleading.  I love anything chocolate.  I love food.  I am not great at cooking but I love to bake.  I'm going to sign off now and have ice cream.  Seriously.  I hope you find something here that you like.  If not, thanks for stopping by.
